This Mercedes 280 SL Pagoda is from one of our regular customers who has a line of classic Mercedes cars and trusts us to bring tha paintwork back to life. We were tasked in detailing the paintwork, applying the Mayvinci C16 Ceramic Coating and detailing the interior, focusing on the chrome.
We started by cleaning and decontaminating the paintwork using pH neutral chemicals. After decontamination, we performed a 3 stage paint correction on the paintwork. Heavy, medium and fine cutting compounds were used to remove deep scratches and to return the gloss and colour to the paintwork. After the 3 stage paint correction, we then prepped the paintwork and started applying the Mayvinci C16 ceramic coating. The coating, lasting 3 years, adds gloss, hydrophobicity and self-cleaning properties to the paintwork. Finally, we detailed the interior, giving a light vacuum to the carpets and cleaning all of the leather. We paid close attention to the chrome as this is what catches the eye the most!
It was a delight to work on this classic Mercedes for one of our regular customers. The customer was delighted in the paintwork and how smooth it felt after the coating has been applied and healed. The chrome in the interior also came out great after polishing it!
